Former anti-graft commissioner is new LTFRB head
MANILA, Philippines – Transportation Secretary Manuel “Mar” Roxas” has named the former commissioner of the Presidential Anti-Graft Commission as the new chairman of the Land Transportation Franchising Regulatory Board (LTFRB).
Jaime Jacob will replace Nelson Laluces who resigned from his post in August to give Roxas a free hand in choosing the people he would like to work with after President Benigno Aquino III appointed his former runningmate head of the Department of Transportation and Communications.
Jacob is a member of the Liberal Party. He ran for a seat in Congress in last year’s elections but lost to Luis Villafuerte of Camarines Sur.
