MPD shows road closures, rerouting in Manila for Earth Day Run on Sunday

MANILA, Philippines — The Manila Police District (MPD) has released a list of road closures and rerouting plans in line with the Earth Day Run on Sunday.

In a traffic advisory on Saturday, the MPD said the marathon will be held in the streets of Manila from 1 a.m. onwards.

The following roads will be closed:

• Northbound lane of Roxas Blvd. from P. Quirino Ave. to Katigbak Drive and Southbound lane of Roxas Blvd. from P. Ocampo Ave. to Katigbak Drive
• Bonifacio Drive from Anda Circle to Katigbak Drive
• P. Burgos Ave. from Roxas Blvd. to Jones Bridge
• Finance Road from P. Burgos Ave. to Taft Ave.
• Ma. Orosa from P. Burgos to Kalaw Ave.
• Muralla St. from Sta. Lucia St. to A. Soriano Ave.
• Sta. Lucia St. from Muralla St. to A. Soriano St.
• Eastbound lane of A. Soriano Ave. from Muralla-Solana St. to Anda Circle
• Jones Bridge
• Magallanes Drive fronting Post Office from McArthur Bridge southbound to Jones Bridge northbound
• Magallanes Drive fronting Bureau of Immigration
• Westbound lane of TM Kalaw Ave. from MH Del Pilar St. to Roxas Blvd.
• Westbound lane of Quirino Ave. from Adriatico St. to Roxas Blvd.

Re-routing for vehicles:

• Vehicles coming from McArthur and Quezon Bridge intending to utilize Southbound lane of Roxas Blvd. shall take P. Burgos Ave. straight to Taft Ave. to point of destination
• Vehicles coming from Westbound lane of Kalaw Ave. intending to utilize Roxas Blvd. southbound shall turn left to M.H. Del Pilar to point of destination
• Vehicles coming from Ma. Orosa St. shall turn right to Kalaw Ave., to Taft Ave. to point of destination
• Vehicles coming from A. Mabini St. shall turn right to Kalaw Ave., straight to Taft Ave. to point of destination
• Vehicles coming from U.N. Ave. intending to utilize Roxas Blvd. shall turn left or right to Roxas Blvd. Service Road to point of destination
• Vehicles coming from Bonifacio Drive shall turn around at Anda Circle to point of destination
• Vehicles coming from Southbound lane of Binondo-Intramuros shall take westbound lane of A. Soriano Ave. to point of destination
• Vehicles coming from Plaza Cervantes intending to utilize Jones Bridge shall take underpass going to Escolta or take San Vicente St. going to MacArthur bridge to point of destination

• All trailer trucks or heavy trucks coming from Pasay Area utilizing Roxas Blvd. northbound shall turn right to Pres. Quirino Ave. to point of destination while light vehicles may use Roxas Blvd. service road northbound
• All trailer trucks or heavy trucks coming from Mel Lopez Blvd. (R-10) going to Roxas Blvd. shall turn left to Capulong St., straight to Yuseco St. to Lacson Ave. to point of destination (old truck route) /apl
