3 ‘high-value’ traffickers busted in Bacoor City, yield P3.5-M shabu

LUCENA CITY, Quezon – Police seized more than P3.5-million worth of shabu (crystal meth) from three alleged “high-value” traffickers in a buy-bust operation in Bacoor City, Cavite, on Wednesday, April 15.
The Police Region 4A, in a belated report on Thursday, said that members of the local police drug enforcement unit arrested the suspects identified only as “Mark”, “Randy” and “Camille” at around 9:25 p.m. after they allegedly sold P2,000 worth of shabu to an undercover policeman in Barangay San Nicolas 2.

Operatives confiscated from them five knot-tied plastic sachets and one self-sealing sachet containing suspected shabu weighing 518 grams valued at approximately P3,522,400 based on the Dangerous Drugs Board’s assessment.
Police also seized a car believed to have been used by the suspects in their alleged illegal activities and a mobile phone, which will be examined for possible drug trade-related records.
All suspects are listed as high-value individuals (HVIs) in the illegal drug trade, a category that includes traffickers, financiers, and members of drug syndicates.
Authorities are continuing their investigation to determine the source of the illegal drugs.
The three suspects are currently under police custody and will face charges for violations of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. /jpv
