LIST: Canceled flights on August 16 due to Typhoon Ampil’s threat

MANILA, Philippines — Some flights scheduled for Friday, August 16, were canceled because of the potential impact of Typhoon Ampil.

As of 5 p.m. on Thursday, local carrier Cebu Pacific said the following flights to and from Narita International Airport scheduled for August 16 will not push through:

5J 5054/5055: Manila – Narita – Manila
5J 5056/5057: Manila – Narita – Manila
5J 5068/5069: Clark – Narita – Clark

In a report from the Agence France-Presse on Thursday, it said that hundreds of Japanese flights and train services were canceled in the middle of a major holiday week as Typhoon Ampil was set to skirt the Tokyo region.
