Querubin weakens into LPA, heads towards Mindanao, Palawan
MANILA, Philippines — Tropical Depression Querubin weakened into a low pressure area (LPA) on Wednesday afternoon, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said.
The state weather agency last spotted the now LPA around 275 kilometers east of Surigao City, Surigao del Norte, moving northward at 20 km per hour.

Hence, Pagasa lifted all Tropical Cyclone Wind Signals.
However, the weather bureau warned that from Thursday “through Sunday (22 December), this LPA will traverse Mindanao, Sulu Sea, and Palawan.”

Article continues after this advertisement“A possible re-development into a tropical depression may occur once this LPA reaches the West Philippine Sea,” it added.
