Cebu Pacific cancels flights to and from Dubai until June 15
MANILA, Philippines — Budget carrier Cebu Pacific on Tuesday canceled flights going to and from Dubai from June 1 to 15, after the Philippine government extended the travel restrictions on travelers from the United Arab Emirates and six other countries.
In an advisory, Cebu Pacific said the following flights have been canceled:
- 5J 14 (Manila-Dubai) from June 4-14
- 5J 17 (Dubai-Manila) from June 5-14
- 5J 19 (Dubai-Manila) from June 5-15
Cebu Pacific said it had already informed affected passengers of the flight cancellations and they could choose to rebook, store the amount they paid in a travel fund, or get a refund.
It added that it will continue to operate its domestic and international flights as scheduled.

The Philippines has travel restrictions on the entry of travelers coming from India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Nepal, Oman, and the United Arab Emirates until June 15.

As of May 26, health authorities have so far detected 13 cases of the so-called double mutant variant or B.1.617 in the country.
