Tropical Storm Dante makes landfall over Eastern Samar
MANILA, Philippines — Tropical Storm Dante (international name: Choi-wan) made landfall over Eastern Samar, on Tuesday night, according to an update posted on Facebook by the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa).
Dante made landfall in the vicinity of Sulat, at 8:30 p.m.

According to an earlier Pagaasa severe weather bulletin, Dante is expected to bring moderate to heavy with at times intense rains over Surigao del Norte, Dinagat Islands, Leyte, Southern Leyte, Biliran, Masbate, and Romblon.
Moderate to heavy rains are also expected over Surigao del Sur, Agusan del Norte, Camiguin, Samar, Bohol, the northern portion of Cebu (including Bantayan and Camotes Islands), Capiz, Iloilo, Sorsogon, Albay, Camarines Norte, Camarines Sur, Marinduque, and the southern portion of Quezon
Meanwhile, Misamis Oriental, Agusan del Sur, Bukidnon, Catanduanes, and the rest of Visayas will likely have light to moderate with at times heavy rains.
Pagasa will issue its next severe weather bulletin on 11 p.m. Tuesday.
