8 Maynilad areas to have daily water service pauses July 6-31

MANILA, Philippines — Eight towns and cities in Cavite and Metro Manila covered by Maynilad Water Services Inc. will have daily water service interruptions from July 6 to 31.

In an advisory, Maynilad said the interruptions were necessary because of a “raw water quality issue in Laguna Lake.”

Following are the affect areas in Cavite:

FEATURED STORIES

  • Imus
  • Cavite City
  • Noveleta
  • Rosario

And the affected areas in Metro Manila are:

  • Las Piñas
  • Muntinlupa
  • Paranaque

The affected villages and the period of daily water interruption in the areas are listed on  Maynilad’s Facebook page.

Maynilad is encouraging affected customers to store enough water once supply is available but reminded them to let the water flow out briefly until it clears.

The company also said its mobile water tankers will do the rounds of the affected areas to deliver potable water, and stationary water tanks are installed in several areas.
