Elderly woman dies after getting hit by motorcycle in Quezon

LUCENA CITY—An 80-year-old woman died on Sunday, July 3, after a motorcycle hit her in Calauag town in Quezon province.
In a report Monday, Calauag town police said Nelia Encallado was crossing the road when a motorcycle driven by Ericson Lasalita bumped her around 11:30 a.m. in Barangay Rizal Ibaba.

Encallado, who suffered grave injuries, died while being taken to St. Peter General Hospital in the town proper.
Police said Lasalita and the victim’s family were willing to settle the matter amicably.
