MANILA, Philippines — Poll watchdog Parish Pastoral Council for Responsible Voting (PPCRV) had so far recorded a 100 percent match rate between physical election returns (ERs) and electronically transmitted results in the 16,820 encoded ERs so far.

PPCRV spokesperson Atty. Van dela Cruz said that ERs were manually encoded and verified by hundreds of volunteers by matching them with the electronic results from the Commission on Elections’ (Comelec) transparency server.

“Ngayon, out of 16,820 encoded namin, pinagbangga namin doon sa kanilang katumbas na electronically transmitted returns mula sa parehong vote counting machines, ang yield po ay 100% na nagmamatch o nagtutugma,” Dela Cruz said in a press briefing at the University of Santo Tomas’ Quadricentennial Pavilion.

He further explained that the encoded ERs were “pre-transmission election returns” which refer to the returns printed by vote counting machines (VCMs) before it electronically transmitted results to the Comelec transparency server.
