Day 2 of partial, unofficial poll count: Marcos Jr. continues to lead presidential race

MANILA, Philippines — Former Sen. Ferdinand Marcos Jr. continues to lead the 2022 presidential race on the second day of the partial and unofficial vote count of poll watchdog Parish Pastoral Council for Responsible Voting (PPCRV).
Still a distant frontrunner as of 8:17 p.m., Marcos garnered 31 million votes, based on the electronically transmitted results received by PPCRV from 105,753 (98.11% of 107,785 total) clustered precincts.
Trailing in second place, with almost twice fewer votes than the frontrunner is Vice President Robredo with 14.7 million.
In third place is Sen. Manny Pacquiao with 3.6 million votes, followed by Manila Mayor Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso in fourth with 1.8 million votes.
Article continues after this advertisementMeanwhile, Sen. Panfilo Lacson, who continues to sit in fifth, has yet to break the one million ceiling with 880,848 votes.

- Businessman Faisal Mangondato – 254,641 votes
- Former presidential spokesperson Ernie Abella – 113,064
- Labor leader Leody de Guzman – 91,940
- Former Defense Secretary Norberto Gonzales – 88,891
- Lawyer-Doctor Jose Montemayor – 59,852
As of this writing, Moreno had already conceded to Marcos in the 2022 presidential race, Lacson had also made a statement of retiring in politics — but had yet to formally state a concession.
Meanwhile, Marcos’ rival Robredo, earlier issued a statement thanking volunteers and supporters who joined her People’s Campaign.
