Marcos wants more power plants to bring down electricity rates
MANILA, Philippines — Presidential candidate Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. on Saturday said he wants a profound study that would lead to a viable solution to reduce power rates in the country.
If elected, Marcos said his administration will focus on production, transmission, and distribution of electricity nationwide and will add more energy resources to ensure a sufficient power supply.
Included in his plan is to put up additional geothermal and hydroelectric power plants and installation of more solar and wind power farms.

He cited that several countries in Europe, the USA, and Australia have been successfully using these technologies.
Kaya’t aralin natin at gamitin natin.”
In the end, Marcos suggested that there should be a study on the possibility of reviving the Bataan Nuclear Power Plant, which was a brainchild of his father, former president Ferdinand E. Marcos Sr.
