Woman dead in Batangas motorcycle crash

LUCENA CITY––A motorcycle-riding woman died Thursday in a road mishap in Batangas City on Thursday (March 3) night, police said.

Batangas City police said Bernadette Garcia, 41, a resident of the city, was negotiating at 9:45 p.m. the national highway in Barangay Parang when she lost control of the motorcycle.

The victim was thrown off the wayward motorcycle, landed on the pavement, and suffered grave injuries.

Garcia died while being taken to Batangas Medical Center.

Police did not say whether the victim was wearing a crash helmet.
