Most of Luzon, Visayas to have cloudy skies, scattered rain due to LPA
MANILA, Philippines — A low pressure area will bring cloudy skies with scattered rains over parts of Luzon and Visayas, the state weather bureau said Thursday.
The LPA was last spotted 580 kilometers east of Borongan City, Eastern Samar, the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said.
The areas affected by the weather disturbance will be Albay, Sorsogon, Catanduanes, Masbate, Palawan, Northern Samar, Samar, and Eastern Samar.
The LPA is not expected to intensify into a tropical depression, however.
The northeast monsoon or amihan, meanwhile, remains to be the dominant weather system in Luzon.
