Robredo transfers voter registration from Naga City to Magarao in CamSur
MANILA, Philippines — Vice President Leni Robredo has transferred her voter registration from Naga City to Magarao town in Camarines Sur.
Atty. Barry Gutierrez, the spokesperson of the Vice President, disclosed this Friday amid speculations that Robredo may gun for the gubernatorial post in the province.
Gutierrez, however, quickly clarified that Robredo’s transfer of voter registration does not mean she has already decided to run for governor of Camarines Sur.
“She did so, at the advice of her lawyers who wanted consistency in her actual residence ngayon,” Gutierrez said, referring to Robredo’s transfer of voter registration.
Gutierrez stressed that Robredo has yet to decide on her final plans for 2022.

While she remains open and ready to run for president in the 2022 national elections, Robredo has said she is leaving her decision to God.
She also recently assured her supporters that she is taking calls for her to run for president “very, very seriously,” but still stressed that she is pushing for a “united opposition.”
However, there are also speculations that Robredo would instead vie for the gubernatorial post in Camarines Sur, especially after her transfer of voter registration address.
