Pasay City General Hospital hits full capacity for COVID-19 patients
MANILA, Philippines — The Pasay City General Hospital (PCGH) on Tuesday announced that it has already reached full capacity for COVID-19 patients in its emergency room and intensive care unit (ICU).
“As of 5:15 p.m. today, we are already full capacity for all of our Covid beds and Covid ICU beds,” said the PCGH hospital management.
It then asked patients in need of medical treatment to refer to the Department of Health’s (DOH) One Hospital Command Center.
Earlier in a separate statement, the hospital also announced that it has temporarily closed its emergency rooms as of 12:30 p.m., due to the high number of COVID-19 patients located at its triage and isolation rooms.
“Give us time to decongest and disinfect the area so we may accept again COVID and non-COVID patients,” said PCGH director Dr. John Victor de Gracia.
