1 dead in drunken row in Lucena
LUCENA CITY –– A heated argument between two drunks left one of them dead in a stabbing incident here on Thursday night, police said.
The Lucena police reported that Dominador Pagtananan, 35, was having a drinking session with a friend in Barangay Barran at 6:20 p.m. when an already drunk Ronald Barotil, 25, arrived, and a heated altercation ensued between the two.
The argument resulted in a fistfight, after which Barotil went home but returned with a kitchen knife and repeatedly stabbed Pagtananan in different parts of his body.
The victim was rushed to the Quezon Medical Center at the city proper but died on the way.
The suspect escaped after the incident but was arrested later, the report said. INQ
