Solon offers P100K reward for info on suspects in rape-slay of flight attendant
MANILA, Philippines — ACT-CIS Rep. Eric Yap is offering a P100,000 reward to anyone who can give information that will lead to the arrest of the suspects behind the rape and death of flight attendant Christine Dacera.
“Walang lugar sa lipunan natin ang mga sangkot sa krimen na ito. Tayo ay magbibigay ng P100,000 para sa makikipag-ugnayan sa PNP at makakapagturo sa kinaroroonan ng mga suspek o sa mga may kinalaman sa krimen na ito na pinaghahanap pa…” Yap said in a Facebook post.
(There is no place in our society for these people who are involved in the crime. We are offering P100,000 to anyone who will coordinate with the PNP and pinpoint the whereabouts of the suspects or those involved in the crime who remain at large.)
In a separate statement, Yap called on the public to coordinate with the Philippine National Police for any information as he also called on the Commission on Human Rights (CHR) to monitor the case.
“Hustisya ang panawagan natin at tiyaking mapanagot ang mga sangkot sa karumal dumal na krimen na ito!” Yap said.

(People who are involved in this crime have no place in our society, they should face a case of murder, not just rape with homicide, so that they rot in jail.)
The Makati City police has filed with the prosecutor’s office a provisional charge of rape with homicide against 11 men for Dacera’s death.
The flight attendant was found in an empty bathtub of a hotel room where she celebrated New Year’s eve with some friends.
Dacera was taken to the hospital but was declared dead upon arrival.
