A 3-year-old boy who was abandoned in a cemetery on Dec. 23 has finally been reunited with his father in Ohio, USA.

The Hinckley Police Department assured the public that little Tony was placed under the care of his father this week, as per its Facebook post earlier today, Jan. 1.

“I spoke with his father this morning and he expressed his appreciation to everyone for their generosity and said Tony is doing very well,” police chief David Centner said.

Centner clarified that Tony’s father (name withheld) had no involvement in how his son ended up in the cemetery. He also noted that the boy’s father cooperated with the department and the local children’s services.

“Officers arrived meeting with the witness who advised that she had stopped at the cemetery and observed a medium blue mid-sized car parked semi blocking the drive in the northeast corner of the cemetery,” Centner said in an earlier post.

The witness added that the blue car had driven away at a high speed while Tony and a dog tried to chase after it. Before the police managed to track down his father, a foster family watched over Tony for the time being.
