Man, 53, hit by stray bullet in Cagayan

TUGUEGARAO CITY — A 53-year-old man was confined at the Cagayan Valley Medical Center (CVMC) after he was hit by a stray bullet during the New Year’s revelries in Tuao, Cagayan.

Reynaldo Savente was wounded in his lower right hip, according to Dr. Glenn Matthew Baggao, CVMC chief.

He was brought to the CVMC and would be scheduled for operation due to his fractured hip.

Except for the said case, there were no firecracker-related injuries in the province

But the New Year’s Day in the province was marred by vehicular accidents as authorities reported that 19 people, mostly drunk, were hospitalized after figuring in road mishaps.
