Isabela, Iloilo City under MGCQ for January—Palace
MANILA, Philippines — Isabela province and Iloilo City will be under the more lenient modified general community quarantine (MGCQ) for the entire month of January, Malacañang said Friday.
This, after the two were excluded in the list of areas that will be under GCQ from Jan. 1 to Jan. 31.
“President Rodrigo Roa Duterte approved the General Community Quarantine (GCQ) classification of the National Capital Region (NCR), Santiago City, Batangas, Tacloban City, Iligan City, Lanao del Sur, Davao City, and Davao del Norte,” presidential spokesperson Harry Roque said in a statement.
“All other areas are placed under Modified General Community Quarantine (MGCQ),” he added.
Isabela province and Iloilo City were initially among the areas under GCQ for January 2021 as announced by President Rodrigo Duterte in an earlier pre-recorded speech.
