Project Ark rolls out pooled testing system

/ 04:55 AM August 28, 2020

Presidential Adviser for Entrepreneurship and Go Negosyo founder Joey Concepcion announced on Thursday that Project Ark will roll out its pooled polymerase chain reaction (PCR) testing in southern Iloilo in addition to Metro Manila and Cebu City.

The Western Visayas Medical Center was designated as the pooled testing site, the sole testing center in the whole island of Panay. The initial plan is to test public market vendors, teachers, social workers, men in uniform, drivers, and asymptomatic vulnerables in Southern Iloilo.

The Department of Social Welfare and Development through congressional offices will hand out P5,000 in cash assistance for asymptomatic positives while they are in isolation. —ROY STEPHEN C. CANIVEL
