Police chief David Brown said that they were tipped about Neal just 90 minutes after they released videos of several suspects involved in a looting incident last week, as per Fox-owned television station WFLD on the same day.

They checked the leads that ultimately led them to Neal, who was placed into custody without incident.

In the livestreamed video of Neal, he can be seen smiling at the camera before hitting the ATM with a hammer, as per NBC Chicago, also on Aug. 15.

The footage likewise showed several other men helping him break into the machine along North State Street in the city of Chicago. Ian Biong /ra
