Did You Know: 6,130 cases of acute bloody diarrhea reported

According to the Epidemiology Bureau of the Department of Health, a total of 6,130 cases of acute bloody diarrhea were reported nationwide from Jan. 1 to May 25.

This was 28 percent lower compared to the same period in 2018.

A total of five deaths were reported due to acute bloody diarrhea, two of them in the Zamboanga Peninsula. —Marielle Medina, Inquirer Research
