LOOK: People evacuate buildings as quake rattles Metro Manila

MANILA, Philippines — People quickly evacuated their office and school buildings in Metro Manila as earthquake swayed parts of Luzon on Friday afternoon.

A magnitude 5.5 quake hit Burdeos, Quezon at 4:28 p.m., which was also felt in the nation’s capital Manila as well as in Cainta, Pasay, Quezon City, and Muntinlupa.

In a tweet, the Quezon City Public Affairs Department posted a photo showing Quezon City Hall employees moving out of their respective buildings immediately after the earth’s movement stopped.

Employees in Malacañang, Manila, also vacated their offices following the earthquake.

Senate personnel in Pasay and Department of Justice employees in Malate, Manila, likewise left their respective buildings after the tremor.

Meanwhile, students and staff of the Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila (PLM) also moved out of their building due to the earthquake, as shown in the Twitter post of the Manila Youth Bureau.
