3 dead in hacking incident in Laguna

LUCENA CITY — Three persons were hacked to death on Monday by a jealous lover in Calamba City, Laguna, police said on Tuesday.

The Laguna police reported that “Felix,” “Dante,” and “Vivian” were found dead in Barangay Mayapa at 7:20 a.m.

The police arrested two suspects named “Anthony,” and “Sheryl,” live-in partners residing in the village, in a follow-up operation in the locality.

Citing information from a witness, police said that hours before the killing, the victims and the suspects were seen drinking together in the village.

Investigators found out that several days before the incident, Anthony confronted Dante upon learning that the latter was in a romantic relationship with Sheryl.

The police are conducting further investigation.
