Senate derby: Jinggoy out of top 12 in partial Manila tally
MANILA, Philippines – Former senator Jinggoy Estrada landed outside the Magic 12 in the senatorial race’s partial and unofficial tally in Manila, where his father, incumbent mayor Joseph Estrada was defeated
Data from the Parish Pastoral Council for Responsible Voting (PPCRV) Transparency Server as of 5:04 p.m. on Wednesday showed that the younger Estrada ranked 19th in Manila with 158,758 votes, so far.
His brother, reelectionist Sen. JV Ejercito was in 9th spot with 295,764 votes.
The leading senatorial contenders in Manila are reelectionist senators Cynthia Villar (459,120 votes) and Grace Poe (458,319 votes).
Estrada likewise failed to make it to the top 12 in San Juan City, where he served as mayor from 1992 to 2001.
