Pagasa warns of thunderstorms as clouds forecast over Philippines
MANILA, Philippines — The easterlies will affect Southern Luzon, the Visayas and Mindanao on Sunday, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said.
According to its 4 a.m. weather forecast, the Bicol Region, the Visayas, and Mindanao will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers and thunderstorms.
Pagasa warned residents in affected areas to prepare for possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.
The weather bureau meanwhile said that Metro Manila and the rest of the country would have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers.
However, the weather condition will be caused by localized thunderstorms, Pagasa noted.
Pagasa nevertheless cautioned the public against possible flash floods or landslides that may occur severe thunderstorms. /cbb
