OTS urged to assign officers at Naia to monitor queues
MANILA, Philippines — The Manila International Airport Authority (Miaa) said on Thursday it will advise the Office of Transport Security (OTS) to assign officers at all screening checkpoints at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (Naia).
Miaa was reacting to reports that Chinese nationals were skipping lines at the pre-departure area of the Naia Terminal 3.

“The airport chief (General Manager Ed Monreal) said they will advise the Office for Transportation Security to designate queuing officers at all screening checkpoints in the Naia Terminals,” the Miaa said in a statement.
According to Civil Service Commission head Aileen Lizada, around four to five Chinese-looking individuals bypassed people, including her, who queued up at the pre-departure area, which is the final security checkpoint at the said terminal.
Lizada also said that the passengers were screened and did not breach the security screening procedure.
