MANILA, Philippines — Camiling City, Tarlac Mayor Erlon Clemente Agustin belied on Friday he is involved in the illegal drug trade, adding that he is willing to undergo a lifestyle check after being included in the so-called “narcolist.”

“Pwede niyo hong buksan at i-check yung lifestyle namin, ‘yung lahat ng po ng bank account,” Agustin said in an interview with DZMM.

To further prove that he is not involved in the illegal drug trade, Agustin offered that the bank accounts of his relatives be also scrutinized.

Agustin said he has already been cleared of alleged involvement in the drug trade after his name was included in the “narcolist” released in 2017.

Agustin was among the 46 politicians identified by President Rodrigo Duterte on Thursday as allegedly linked to the illegal drug trade.

The Department of the Interior and Local Government has already filed before the Office of the Ombudsman administrative complaints against the 46 officials. /muf
