Snoozing police officers of the Pasay City Police Community Precinct 8 (PCP 8) were caught off guard by Director Oscar Albayalde, no less than the chief of the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO), who conducted a surprise inspection of precincts in the Southern Police District on Wednesday.

During the surprise inspection, Albayalde scolded everyone, including Senior Insp. Ferdinand Duren, PCP 8 chief.

“Ikaw ang PCP commander dito? Alam mo tulog ang mga tao mo? Pati ikaw tulog. Anong klaseng mga ano kayo,” Albayalde told Duren.

Another police officer, who said he was supposed to be on patrol, but was sleeping at the precinct, also got a tongue-lashing from the NCRPO chief.

“Beat patrol? Sa tingin mo nagbe-beat patrol ka? Hanggang saan na ba ang narating mo sa kaka-beat patrol mo sa tulog mo? Saan ka na nakarating sa panaginip?” Albayalde said.

[Beat patrol? You really think you’re on beat patrol? So how far did you go in your beat patrol while asleep? Where place did you reach in your dreams?]

Here’s a video of the incident from the NCRPO:
