Suspect arrested in American’s slay in Caloocan City
The suspect in the killing of a 66-year-old American in Caloocan City was arrested on Tuesday.
According to the police, a witness found the body of James Rinaldo Boudreaux at 1 a.m. in his house at 15 PNR Compound, Barangay 73 where he had just moved in four days before the incident.
Marissa Silva, the victim’s landlord, said she heard Boudreaux crying for help a few minutes earlier. When she checked on him, she found him dead.
The victim’s body was brought to Eusebio Funeral Homes where an autopsy revealed he had been stabbed eight times.
Caloocan police chief Senior Supt. Chito Bersaluna, identified the suspect as Romeo Deluna Jr. who was arrested hours later in his house on Cecilio Apostol Street in Barangay 64.
In the footage taken by a closed circuit television camera, the suspect was seen fleeing the crime scene without his shirt, minutes after the killing.
