Intertropical convergence zone to bring rains over most of PH

An intertropical convergence zone will continue to bring rains over Southern Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao, the state weather bureau said on Tuesday afternoon.

“Visayas, Bicol, Calabarzon, Mimaropa, Zamboanga Peninsula, Northern Mindanao, Caraga and the province of Aurora will have cloudy skies with light to moderate rains and thunderstorms,” the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rains or thunderstorms.

Pagasa also issued a thunderstorm advisory in Metro Manila and nearby provinces at 3:32 p.m.

“Thunderstorm is affecting Metro Manila (N. Caloocan, Quezon City, Marikina), Zambales (Cabangan), Bataan (Orani, Samal, Hermosa), portion of Bulacan, Pampanga, Rizal, Laguna, Quezon, Batangas which may persist within 2 hours,” the advisory said. Frances Mangosing/JE
