2 ‘big time’ drug pushers nabbed in Lucena buybust
LUCENA CITY – Police arrested two alleged “big time” drug pushers in this city and seized 63 grams of “shabu” (methamphetamine hydrochloride) in a buy-bust operation early Wednesday, police said.
Senior Supt. Rhoderick Armamento, Quezon police provincial director, said operatives from the provincial drug enforcement unit nabbed Jonathan Monteza, 43, and his live-in partner Aileen Natad, 29, after the couple sold one plastic sachet of shabu to an undercover policeman in Barangay (village) Ibabang Dupay at 3:35 a.m.
Police found 14 sachets of shabu inside the sling bag that was handed by Natad to Monteza during the drug transaction. The confiscated drugs weighed 63 grams with a street value of P116,500.
Authorities tagged the suspects as among major suppliers of shabu in the village. Police said some street pushers in the village also get their supply from the couple. CBB
