Semifinalists named for 6th Read-Along Festival storytelling tilt
Eleven young storytellers made it to the semifinals of the 6th Inquirer Read-Along Festival Storytelling Competition after passing the elimination rounds held at the Inquirer main office on Saturday.
Thirty-five students from 7 schools in Metro Manila and nearby areas joined this year’s eliminations.
The semifinalists are: Kean Railey Chan Huan (Chiang Kai Shek College), Jhericca Mae P. Genes (Antonio Regidor Elementary School), Princess Jeza Gail B. Eliang (Antonio Regidor Elementary School), Keveen Kence Sy Suan (Chiang Kai Shek College), Jemimah Rose T. Pestaño (Optimus Center for Development);
Abbygail G. Parma (St. Alphonsus Liguori Integrated School), Shirelyn Cañete (Antonio Regidor Elementary School), Noah Roa (Optimus Center for Development), Gliter Corpuz (F. Ma. Guerrero Elementary School), Princess Angel Macapagal (School of Saint Anthony) and Ryza Meñale (Antonio Regidor Elementary School).
The board of judges for the elimination round are Junior Inquirer editor Ruth Navarra-Mayo (chair), Inquirer photojournalist and storyteller Grig Montegrande, and Rich Rodriguez and Posh Develos of Ang Pinoy Storytellers.
Article continues after this advertisementThe semifinals will be on Oct. 29 at the Inquirer main office. The finals will be on Day 2 of the 6th #MyInquirer Read-Along Festival, which will also be held at the Inquirer main office on Nov. 11 and 12.
