Drug suspect killed in Cavite drug bust, woman found dead

SAN PEDRO CITY, Laguna — A suspected drug pusher was shot and killed in a drug bust in Rosario town in Cavite province on Thursday, police said.

A report from the regional police in Calabarzon (Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal, Quezon), said Federico Faustino drew his gun while he was dealing with undercover policemen at 2:30 a.m. in Rosario.

This prompted one of the policemen to shoot Faustino, the report said. Faustino died while being taken to the Divine Grace Hospital in Rosario.

In another case, a woman, believed to be a victim of summary execution, was found dead in Barangay Pooc 1 in Silang town on Wednesday.


A police report said the unidentified woman’s hands were tied with tape while her head was wrapped in a shirt when found at 4:30 a.m.  SFM
