ON AUG. 24, 1974, the military raided the Jesuit Sacred Heart Novitiate in Novaliches, allegedly in search of communist leader Jose Maria Sison. According to then Defense Secretary Juan Ponce Enrile, the raid yielded evidence of rebellion. A total of 21 persons were arrested and detained. Marielle Medina, Inquirer Research
