DENR regional official shot dead in Koronadal City
KORONADAL CITY – Unidentified motorcycle-riding men shot dead an official of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) regional office here on Monday.
Supt. Barney Condes, the city police chief, identified the victim as Forester Noel Dungca, 54, DENR-12 human resources management office chief.
He sustained multiple gunshot wounds at the back of his head and body.
Condes said police were reviewing several close circuit TV cameras along roads leading to the crime scene.
Dungca, who finished Forestry at the University of the Philippines (UP) Los Baños in Laguna, was driving his motorbike near San Antonio Subdivision phase 2, Barangay Sta. Cruz when the suspects shot him at 9:30 a.m. Monday. JE/rga
