Pangasinan father, son killed on their way to farm

LINGAYEN, Pangasinan — A farmer and his son were shot dead as they made their way to their fields on Wednesday (June 29) in Pangasinan’s San Jacinto town, a belated police report stated.

Floro Velasco and his son, Jason, were on a hand tractor-drawn trailer loaded with rice seedlings when they were attacked by motorcycle-riding gunmen at 4 a.m. in Sitio Moling, Bolo village.

Investigators found 11 empty shells fired from two types of handguns at the crime scene. Police are still investigating why the two men were killed.  SFM/rga
