2 killed, 2 hurt in Cebu motorcycle collision

CEBU CITY – Two persons were killed while two others were injured past 1 a.m. on Tuesday when two motorcycles collided along Duterte Street, Sitio Banawa, Barangay (village) Guadalupe in this city.

The fatalities were identified as Klie Mark Mangitngit Galo, 22, of Asturias town and Edcher Baritua Jr., 20, from Upper Gun Club, Banawa – drivers of the two motorcycles.

Their passengers were injured and brought to Vicente Sotto Memorial Medical Center on B. Rodriguez Street here for treatment.

They were Jimmy Libradilla, 28, of Talisay City who rode with Galo and Baritua’s passenger, Emerjohn Amonsot, 25, from Barangay Tisa, Cebu City.

According to traffic investigator PO2 Chady Jungoy, Galo was driving his Rusi motorcycle (plate number GC-10867) along Duterte Street and was heading to Salvador Street in Barangay Labangon when he collided Baritua’s Honda motorycle (GC-64674) that came from opposite direction.

The impact of the collision was so strong that the drivers and passengers were thrown onto the pavement. CDG
