WATCH: Rider caught on cam ‘flying’ off motorcycle in Makati crash
A rider was seriously hurt when his motorcycle was rammed by a sports utility vehicle (SUV) in Barangay (village) La Paz in Makati City Thursday morning.
Norby Castañeda, 28, was cruising along Pasong Tirad Street toward Pablo Ocampo Sr. Extension when a black Ford Escape (XMP 970) rammed his motorcycle (BA 71607) at the intersection of Mola Street at about 9 a.m.
The SUV was driven by Ma. Angeles Guanzon, 60, of Marikina City.
“Tinumbok ako,” (I got rammed) Castañeda told Inquirer.net as he lay on the pavement, nursing his bloodied right leg.

A village CCTV footage showed Castañeda being thrown off his motorcycle, flying in the air, and landing about five meters beside the curb in front of the INQUIRER.net building.
La Paz village chair Ferdinand Concepcion said the barangay’s CCTV footage showed that both drivers were running at the same speed.
The footage also showed that the SUV continued moving for several meters — pushing the motorcycle which was pinned between the bumper and the pavement — before slowing to a stop.
“I was crossing and the motorcycle suddenly cut across me,” said Guanzon, who added that she was going 30 kph.
Guanzon, who remained in her car, said she was willing to shoulder the medical expenses of Castañeda.
Rescuers said Castañeda would be brought to the nearest hospital. CB
