6 candidates arrive at UST for VP debate
All six candidates vying for the second highest position in the land have arrived at the Quadricentennial Pavilion in the University of Santo Tomas (UST) for the first and only vice presidential debate on Sunday.
The debate, the only one among the VP candidates organized by the Commission on Elections (Comelec), will start at 5 p.m.

United Nationalist Alliance (UNA) vice presidential candidate Senator Gringo Honasan was the first to arrive at the venue at around 2 p.m.
Wearing the party’s signature color yellow, Liberal Party vice presidential bet Congresswoman Maria Leonor “Leni” Robredo was the second candidate to arrive just before 3 p.m.

Article continues after this advertisementSenator Alan Cayetano, the running-mate of Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte arrived at the venue with his wife Taguig City Mayor Lani in tow.
Cayetano, who was also accompanied by his brother Taguig City Representative Lino and wife Fille Cainglet-Cayetano, arrived at the venue at 3:15 p.m.
Cayetano filmed a short clip en route to the venue where his nephew cheered for Duterte.
“Mangungulit kami sa debate,” he said.
Fourth to arrive was Sen. Francis “Chiz” Escudero with his wife actress Heart Evangelista.
He was followed by Senator Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. who was with his wife Lisa Araneta and his two sons.
Last to arrive was Senator Antonio Trillanes IV who only went with supporters from his party Magdalo.
By 4 p.m., all candidates are in UST, which is an hour before the debate.
The VP debate, which will feature double moderator and town hall formats, is hosted by CNN Philippines and BusinessMirror. CDG
