DAGUPAN CITY, Philippines–The bangus (milkfish) capital of the world officially opened the month-long Bangus Festival 2016 Friday with a grand parade.

The main streets of Dagupan were filled with energy and happy faces as participants of the grand opening parade and street dance walked and danced their way to the City Plaza – where the focal presentations of the Gilon Gilon Ed Baley Street Dancing Competition will be be held.

The street dance competition is the highlight of the Bangus Festival. Six contingents assembled from the 32 barangay (villages) of Dagupan, will battle it out in the dance competition.
