Today, Feb. 25, is the 30th anniversary of the Edsa People Power Revolution that ousted the two-decade dictatorship of former President Ferdinand Marcos. On Feb. 25, 1986, Corazon Aquino took her oath of office as the duly-elected president at Club Filipino in Greenhills. Marcos held his own inauguration ceremony at the Malacañang Palace grounds. By 9 p.m., American helicopters flew Marcos from Malacañang to Clark Air Base before he departed for Guam then Hawaii the next day. Marielle Medina, Inquirer Research
