LIVESTREAM: 5 presidential candidates face off in CDO debate

The stage is set for the first presidential debate in 24 years which will happen at the Capitol University in Cagayan de Oro City.

The five presidential candidates Vice President Jejomar Binay, Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte, Senator Grace Poe, Manuel “Mar” Roxas II, and Senator Miriam Defensor-Santiago will share the stage for the first time since the 90-day official campaign period kicked off last February 9.

Sunday’s debate, the first of the three presidential debates, which will be conducted in cooperation with the Commission on Elections, marks the first time that it will be held in Mindanao.

The last government-sanctioned presidential debate was held in 1992.

The candidates have already arrived in the city—first to arrive was Binay on Saturday, followed by the rest of the candidates on Sunday—with their supporters in tow.
