Poe, Escudero expected to attend Lorna Kapunan’s proclamation rally

Senators Grace Poe and Francis “Chiz” Escudero are expected to show up on Friday in a proclamation rally of another candidate, who is reportedly part of their senatorial ticket.

Poe’s office, in a text advisory to reporters Thursday night, said she and Escudero will attend the proclamation rally of lawyer Lorna Kapunan, who is running for senator under the Aksyon Demokratiko Party of the late former Senator Raul Roco.

The event will be held at 4 p.m. at the Balay Kalinaw, University of the Philippines in Diliman, Quezon City.

Various media reports have named Kapunan as among those who will be included in Poe-Escudero senatorial ticket in 2016. Poe and Escudero are running for president and vice president, respectively.

The two senators have so far endorsed the senatorial bids of Bayan Muna Rep. Neri Colmenares and Manila Vice Mayor Isko Moreno.

Poe earlier said they already have a complete senatorial line up which they were supposed to announce this week but decided to postpone it due to Typhoon “Lando.” RAM
