Senator Antonio Trillanes IV said on Monday they have two “new exposes” against Vice President Jejomar Binay when the Senate resumes its investigation on corruption allegations against him next week.
Trillanes, who initiated the Senate probe against Binay, said the Senate blue ribbon subcommittee will resume its hearings on August 20 and 26.
“May hearing po kami ulit dito kay VP Binay dahil na-i-ready na yung ilalabas natin (We’ll have another hearing against VP Binay because the new exposes are already set),” the senator said in an interview over radio station dzRB.
Asked if there are new issues that would be raised against the Vice President, Trillanes said in a text message, “Meron dalawang bagong expose.” He did not elaborate.
The subcommittee being headed by Senator Aquilino “Koko” Pimentel III has already recommended the filing of plunder and graft charges against the Vice President over the alleged overpricing of the Makati City Hall 2 parking building. AU
