Detained senator Jinggoy Estrada has asked the Sandiganbayan to require Senator Teofisto “TG” Guingona III to appear in court to present the files of principal witness Benhur Luy.

In a motion for subpoena duces tecum, Estrada asked the antigraft Fifth Division to require Guingona, chair of the Senate Blue Ribbon Committee, and the committee secretariat Atty. Rodolfo Quimbo to appear before the Clerk of Court on  Aug. 11, 12, 13, 18, 20, 25, 26, and 27 all  at 8:30 a.m.

This is for them to present the National Bureau of Investigation’s forensic report on star witness Benhur Luy’s external hard drive which was submitted to the Senate Blue Ribbon Committee that conducted an inquiry into the scam.

Senator Guingona is also expected to present to the court copies of the print-outs from Luy’s hard drive that detailed the alleged kickbacks of lawmakers from alleged pork scam mastermind Janet Lim-Napoles.

Estrada faces plunder and graft charges before the Sandiganbayan for his alleged involvement in the scheme of pilfering lawmakers’ Priority Development Assistance Funds to ghost projects for kickbacks. He is detained with Senator Ramon Revilla Jr. for the same charges. Meanwhile, co-accused Senator Juan Ponce Enrile is under hospital detention.
