Amid various issues hurled against him and his family, Vice President Jejomar Binay is expected to address the nation anew Wednesday afternoon.
The press briefing will be held at the Vice President’s official residence at the Coconut Palace at 5 p.m.
Binay’s representatives did not specify the topic of the address.
Binay tendered his irrevocable resignation from his posts as chief of the Housing and Urban Development Coordinating Council and the overseer of the Aquino government’s program on overseas Filipino workers on Monday.

Binay’s daughter, Makati Rep. Abigail Binay personally delivered her father’s resignation to Executive Secretary Paquito Ochoa Jr.
The younger Binay said in a radio interview that her father was treated as a “punching bag” by his colleagues in the Cabinet. She added that it was just a matter of time for her father to resign as he would vie for the presidency in 2016.
Malacañang denied the claim that Binay was given cold treatment in the Cabinet.
“We do not share [that] assessment of the allies of the vice president,” deputy presidential spokesperson Abigail Valte on Tuesday.
A team of investigators from the Office of the Ombudsman also recommended the filing of graft charges against Binay, his son Makati Mayor Jejomar Erwin “Junjun” Binay and other personalities regarding the allegedly overpriced Makati Science High School building.
