Magnitude 6.2 quake jolts Japan—USGS

A magnitude 6.2 quake struck off Hakkodate, Japan past 2 p.m. on Monday, the United States Geological Survey (USGS) reported.

The epicenter of the quake was located 64 kilometers east northeast of Mutsu, Japan with a depth of 44.3 kilometers.

Panahon TV said that no tsunami warning was raised following the quake.

No accounts of injuries or damage were reported. AJH
